LCMS Young Singles Retreat 2026

Saturday, August 1 • 1:00-7:00pm

LCMS singles (high school graduates thru age 30ish) are invited to join us here at Saint John on Saturday, August 1 for our fifth annual Singles Retreat. This retreat is for those who are not dating, those who are dating, even those who are engaged.

Our theme is “The Underappreciated Love: Philia.” What role does friendship play in our life together as brothers and sisters in Christ? How is this type of love different than other loves? How do friendships form? What should I look for in a friend? Participants will explore the Scriptural theology behind good and godly friendships and gain real world advice for making friends in the modern world.

The afternoon will feature keynote presentations by Pastor David Peterson, a prayer office, indoor and outdoor activities, food, and fun. Participants are welcome to hang around after 7:00pm to socialize, play board games, etc. The cost is only $20 per person. Come and get to know other LCMS singles who faithfully confess Jesus Christ and the one true faith.
